I headed up to Signature Sounds Studio today to meet with my good friend, engineer Mark Thayer. With my master’s degree behind me, and the school year rapidly coming to a close, it is finally time to turn my focus to my upcoming trio recording. I am heading into the studio for three days to track most of the music I have written during the pursuit of my degree over the last four years. I am so excited to be in the studio again, and working with the talents of my regular collaborators, Sean Farias (b) and Miki Matsuki (dr). We had a kick-off party at The Vanilla Bean Cafe in March. The tunes are sounding great, and I am very excited to finally document this part of my musical life. It will be a nice bookend to my previous trio recording. Expect more exciting news on this project as the summer progresses!
